Key Involvements
- Our team of solicitors represented the Trustee in the State Government of Osun’s N10, 000,000.00 (Ten Billion Naira) Bond Issuance Programme.
- Our team advised and defended an agro-based company in a suit against a financial institution for indemnification and/or specific performance of a contract awarded by the Federal Government of Nigeria (“FGN”) which the financial institution induced the breach of on account of the oft-encountered challenges of documentary credit.
- Part of the legal team advising and representing the FGN in the recovery of part of Abacha loot in cross-border jurisdictions
- Our team was retained by the FGN to undertake a forensic analysis of the regime of repatriation of foreign currency out of Nigeria by a foreign company with the collaborations of its bankers, determine sums repatriated contrary to extant foreign exchange regulation, and take strategic steps to recover the sums of US$ 13 Billion adjudged to have been illegally exported.
- Our team was retained by the FGN to advise on and recover sums to the tune of over US$ 12.7 billion arising from the shipment and sale of over fifty million barrels of crude oil by several local and multinational oil companies.
