Sandra E. Osinachi-Nwandem is a veteran legal practitioner with the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) practice group of the law firm of Tope Adebayo LP. She is a certified energy law expert with an in-depth knowledge acting for and advising clients on legal issues about energy and environmental laws, policies, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and multiplex energy transactions. She has significant experience advising multinational oil and gas companies on their roles and responsibilities to host communities in line with the relevant petroleum legislation.

Asides being a regular contributor to the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) Newsletters, her articles have been featured in some of the most widely read law journals in Africa: Her article, “Regulatory Framework Governing Gas Operations and Utilization in the Nigerian Petroleum Industry” co-authored with the renowned Professor of Energy Law, Prof. S.C Dike, was recently published in the African Journal of International Energy and Environmental Law (AJIEEL), Volume 7, No. 1 (2023).
Her article, “Legal Framework for the Development of Marginal Fields in Nigeria: A cursory Look at the Petroleum Act (PIA) 2021” was also published in the Journal of Environmental and Human Right Law, Volume 3, No. 1 (2023).
Sandra is one of the contributors selected across Africa by the International Association of Energy Economics (IAEE) to co-author the book titled “Energy Transition and Climate Change Policy: Pathway for Sustainable Development in Africa” edited by Professors; Yinka Omorogbe, Wunmi Iledare & Adeola Adenikinju.
Because of her proficient knowledge of the Energy industry in Nigeria, She is regularly invited to speak and present her papers at conferences across Nigeria. Her recent speaking engagement was at the 15th Annual International Conference of the Nigerian Association of Energy Economics (NAEE), where she presented a paper titled, “Nigeria’s Policy and Legislative Measures Adopted to Reflect the Role of Natural Gas as the Global Transition Fuel”.
Sandra was also invited to deliver the keynote address at the Society of Petroleum Engineers-Petroleum Training Institute Section (SPE-PTI) in commemoration of the section’s Engineering Week themed “Optimization of Nigeria’s Gas Energy Potential for Sustainable Development in Transition into Renewables and Cleaner Energy”.
Recently, she was presented with an award of honour by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) International.
Sandra is an avid reader and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Questers’ Corner Book Club, a premier book club in Nigeria.
She is the Communications Director and Image Maker at The Inner Court Church (TICC Community), a new-generation church leading change, with its core mandate to transform human resources into human capital.
She is an executive member of the Empowered Sapiens Mulier Initiative (ESMI), an internationally recognized Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that helps provide solutions to sociocultural women problems through human development projects.
